Following on from their successful masterclasses, some of Brisbane's talented seniors are dancing, singing and setting the stage alight.

The forty years from 1950's to 90's saw some of the greatest changes and innovations to popular music - we had Rock 'n Roll in the 50's with Bill Haley, Elvis and the dozens of groups that sprang from their music.

We had the 'hippy' and 'surfing' music of the 60's and the world-wide impact of the Beatles, the 70's was dominated by the Disco culture and in tandem we had R&B, Funk, Soul, Motown and the birth of the Bossa Nova, Salsa, Rap, Reggae and Hip Hop. Artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Whitney Houston, the Bee Gees and ABBA became sub-cultures of music.

And throughout it all, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Opera and Country music continued to develop throughout the decades.
